Craftingly good food. Robert's Place opened on Mother's Day, May 9, 2010 to an awaiting Gabriola crowd. I waited till a break, and today, Monday at lunch I strolled in. What a transformation. Light colours, new fixtures, new layout, kitchen, flooring and new outside deck. The menu has a blend of Suzy's tried and true, and Robert's infusion to the new and exciting. My pick today: Gabriola Burger, beef, jalapenos, melted cheese on a bun, con fries and coleslaw. Delish! Classy surroundings, funky-jazz overhead, excited servers and super chefs. Visiting every table, head-chef Robert, dowsed us with his charm and grace. Perfect!
