Coast Realty’s Community Day, Thursday, May 27, 2010 found us at our Gabriola Museum pulling garden tools, rakes, snips, wheelbarrows and tarps out of the back of our cars for a full day of a landscape face-lift. Most plants are indigenous to our natural habitat and were in dire need of care and more sunshine. Rakes flying, snips snipping, piles of underbrush were gathered and burned or composted or chipped-up and all done with smiles, laughter and determination to get the job done in one day. President, Mary Wohlleben couldn’t contain her enthusiasm, “If you had a wide-angle lens on that camera, it wouldn’t be wide enough for this big smile of gratitude on my face. Thanks’ so much to the Realtors of Coast Realty, and a big thank you to Garry Oak Tool Rentals for the use of the chipper and roto-tiller”.
